degree show prep.Well its comming to the end of my third year of uni. Preperations for the degree show has begun today. lots of amazing work is setting out to be hung and there is an interesting mix of apprehension and joy in the air thats turning the stomachs of everyone who is involved. im set to finish soon which is good, itll be nice to get this over and done with heheh. its the first time ive been involved in a show and im excited about it. its set to be a goodun.
so my work has changed immensly the past year. its taken a twist into the world of tiki culture which has been the emphasis of this years work. being inspired by music and art from this whole re-amerging culture form the 50's and 60's. its been a fun trip and really brought fun back into working for me. would love to get some commisions in this area, would be alot of fun hehehehe
anyone whos around should come to southampton solent university on the 12th of june for a night of fun and art work. would be good to have loads and loads of people there. so if your about come along.

Thanks for the comments. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner (it's been busy busy) but it looks like you found the explanation. I started out just doing straight red, yellow, blue stuff and got bored of that process colored look, so I tried to do more of a monochromatic thing, just going for density and texture. Turned out the answer was just doing a ton of light, expressive runs and letting information build up slowly over the course of the process.
